Copyright is going away.

If we look at the new metaphor, this cloud metaphor we see that society is moving away from a consensus mentality. Non sense like peer review (mediocrity enforcement) is going away. exclusive content deals: is this a problem?

don't let people like fox and rupert murdoch start to limit what certain search engines can list. I don't mind this for fox, exactly, because i'd prefer fewer people are able to find their content, to be honest. what worries me though, is that they will set a precedent where there will be discrimination against search engines who want to be able to index as much content as possible. if more companies start to charge ...more »

Copy-rights have never been recognized in the immoral USA

This will become obvious to even Google Inc by the time my lawsuit completes. Copy-right has never had anything to do with a right. It has always been simply a rite whereby the prices of publicly distributing ideas was fixed. Only attribution rights are enforceable. "Copy" rights are not.

In order for you to be able to read this text, the characters I type are copied from my keyboard signal translator to a buffer in my computer's memory. At the same time, each character is copied from a font store to my screen buffer, so I can see what I'm typing. copyright lasts too long

The term of copyrights should be shortened - ideas need not last in private hands for generations. The public needs to build on society's development of ideas, and slamming the door shut on usage of works by refusing to release it to the public domain after a reasonable time is costing our culture.
