I would rather have my internet supervised by corporations that the government. The government is unfaithful and cannot be trusted. It will be dominated by the political party in control which will impose its own "fairness doctrine" on what may and what may not be shared. We have seen in the last year how government dominated by one party usurps our freedoms. Does anyone question the fact that this will happen with the internet? The unions are going to try and implement "Card Check" legislation that will mandate unions in every work place. This, despite the urge by members to want a secret ballot!! Free moral agency has been thrown under the bus by heavy handed people in this administration. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely!! Obama has shown that he is will to do what he pleases, the public be damned.
to read your emails and put them in the trash if they were politically incorrect. Some of my emails now get put in the trash. Anything to keep the government out I am in favor of.

Net neutrality is speech neutering via the government.

"Net neutrality" is a euphemism for government controlled speech and infringes on the constitution which guarantees freedom of speech and association. Only in China, could an idea like this gain traction among the government elites. Sure, democrats would love to silence dissent and muzzle freedom of speech in order to propagandize and perpetrate their ideas which have now been unmasked in the Obama Administration. Our country will not countenance such folly.

Net neutrality means that huge corporations (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, et. al.) AND the government will control the internet which means less and less freedom for users. Net neutrality is a euphemism for government control over everything including your ability to send emails, blog with friends, and utilize all the goods and services now available on the internet free, paid for by advertising and free market capitalism. Capitalism is a blessing not a curse as some of you seem to think. It is an attempt to gain revenue by taxing the use of the internet which will hurt people's ability to utilize the internet. It is another huge infringement on our personal freedoms. People have net neutrality just as they do the TV set . . . they can simply change the channel with a flick of the remote. Net neutrality would eliminate this freedom by restricting what can be posted and shared on the internet. America was built on free moral agency and we need to keep that vital part of our Constitution intact. Net neutrality takes this all away and makes us slaves to government bureacrats.

It is evident that the Obama Administration would like to control all of the means of communication with the so-called fairness doctrine to the so-called net neutrality rules for the internet. In essence they believe that, if the message doesn't suit their purposes, KILL IT. Obama is a tyrant in his current mode of thinking. He has said in so many words, think of me in terms of those who surround me and those folks are strident communist and socialist sympathizers. Gone unchecked this administration will wreck our country and reduce us to third world status. Their horrendous fraud of "cap and trade" is one of those issues with which they will try to do this. Freedom of speech and the press is a guaranteed right of the Constitution and should be fully enforced.
